Twinkle Lights and Christmas Green

I don’t know about you but I love that people are getting away from always pairing the stereotypical Christmas colors of red and green together. Don’t get me wrong I love red and green, but I love that the two colors can stand alone. If I were to pick one I would definitely go with green. I love the soft shades to dark evergreen, and you can find green everywhere. I absolutely love this print, how fabulous would wrapping paper be made from this! These bangles would be the perfect stocking stuffer for any fashionista and I wish I knew where this adorable little green dress came from! Don’t forget the twinkle lights! From young to old there is just something magical about twinkle lights. Whether it be how they shimmer in the snow, or complete a Christmas tree they are the perfect touch to add to your Christmas green.

Spectacular Stripes

If you are a Zinke Design Facebook fan you know we found this gorgeous invitation on Pinterest this morning to blog about. (If you don’t know what Pinterest is, then you need to request an invite to join the site ASAP, it’s fabulous!)  With a black and white stripe liner, and shades of red, pink and green we fell in love, and set out to create wedding inspiration from this invitation suite. We suggest tying the stripe into everything from the bouquet to favors, cocktails, the grooms bow tie and even linens. Gold is in and we love this fabulous flatware, salt and pepper serving pieces and vases for the centerpieces. The gold ribbons on the cocktail straws will add another touch of gold to the event. Lush peonies are perfect for floral arrangements and the brides bouquet, and adding fun berries and textures to the grooms boutonniere adds an additional pop of texture. Don’t forget the cake, and why not add stripes to it as well. There’s not one thing that wasn’t touched by black and white stripes, and we love it! What do you think?

Sun Kissed Ceremony

Today’s inspiration came from this gorgeous Michelle Armas painting. The shades of forrest green, blush pink and sun-kissed tan are to die for, and I knew they would make the perfect wedding inspiration. With the texture and movement in the painting I love the lace texture on this gorgeous cake, and the movement in the trees for an outside ceremony. I love how the chairs are set on two sides of a circle, under the canopy of trees. I would go with a shade of pink for a more traditional bridesmaid dress, or shades of ivory and cream for a more non-traditional look. Bouquets of pale pink, white and soft greenery fit the occasion. If it weren’t 110 degrees in Tulsa, Oklahoma today I would plan this wedding for tomorrow!

Going Green

We loved using Monday’s bouquet for yesterday’s inspiration so much that we did it again! This time we pulled the green from the bouquet and decided to go green! What do you think of this precious outdoor wedding? I love the vintage invitations and this cake. The trailer is the perfect photo op. What do you think about green?

Think Trees

It’s Spring and there are beautiful, blooming trees all around. I personally love all of the colors and the inspiration for events. When you’re looking for an organic element that’s outside of the box trees are your answer. This past weekend the lovely French Bouquet in Tulsa added dogwood trees to a gorgeous floral arrangement (we’ll share photos soon). It was the perfect touch and with so many trees available throughout the year it’s a cost efficient way to add a new element. So, when you are at a loss for what would make the perfect addition to your event, think trees.

O’ Happy Day

It’s a happy day – we’re talking about a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Since today is all green I thought I would put together an inspiration board with my favorite color of green. It’s soft and antique and would be the perfect inspiration behind any wedding. I love the cake with gorgeous gold details (there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow, right?) and how about these succulents and hydrangea for texture. Don’t forget the vintage dress and macaroons! What is your favorite shade of green?

Wide Open Spaces

No, I am not talking about the country song – I am talking about gorgeous, organic weddings in wide open spaces. I absolutely love this ceremony location with tall pine trees surrounding this small group of friends and family. The cake is perfect for the occasion; it’s soft and simple, not overstated and too formal. The bride has a look of her own that matches the setting to a “T.” (I secretly wish I could pull something off like this.) With a “green” wedding small touches of wood and natural textures like feathers complete the look. Did you have a green wedding, or have you attended one? What is your favorite natural touch?
