Twinkle Lights and Christmas Green

I don’t know about you but I love that people are getting away from always pairing the stereotypical Christmas colors of red and green together. Don’t get me wrong I love red and green, but I love that the two colors can stand alone. If I were to pick one I would definitely go with green. I love the soft shades to dark evergreen, and you can find green everywhere. I absolutely love this print, how fabulous would wrapping paper be made from this! These bangles would be the perfect stocking stuffer for any fashionista and I wish I knew where this adorable little green dress came from! Don’t forget the twinkle lights! From young to old there is just something magical about twinkle lights. Whether it be how they shimmer in the snow, or complete a Christmas tree they are the perfect touch to add to your Christmas green.

A Gold Glitter Holiday Party

Yes, I am finally embracing the holidays (good thing because I have 2 1/2 weeks to shop for Christmas) and I had to start with glitter! Since I now have a fiance 🙂 we have a few holiday parties to go to and of course that means new outfits. I know I should be shopping for everyone else, but let’s face it what girl can resist a fabulous new dress. For my first holiday look I’m beginning with this sequin-embellished dress from The Outnet and pairing it with this Betsy Johnson bow clutch from Bloomingdale’s and these adorable bow earrings. If you are playing host for the evening don’t forget to decorate the outside of your venue. I’m a big fan of white lights, because a little go a long way, and I love this row of trees outside a brick building. If you’re on a budget, or you spent your budget on your outfit, this Etsy Garland is also very DIY friendly. Click on over to Etsy to order yours, or you can find some sparkle paper, cut some circles, squares, triangles or whatever shape you love and glue them to each side of a piece of string. Wah-Lah! I’m a huge fan of edible gold, yes there is such a thing click here, so I would coat my entire cake with it! For favors send guests home with cute little gold reindeer! Happy Holidays!

Every Love Story

With the combination of a light drizzle and cooler temperatures here in Tulsa I knew where to find today’s inspiration. I love how every love story is different and non-traditional brides are taking charge of their day. The non-traditional feel of this board from the redhead bride to seafoam color bridesmaid dress is stunning. With brides stepping outside of the box I’m a big fan of this iced, chocolate cake and opal ring. Opt for a natural feeling bouquet in pinks and reds with a sweet ribbon tied around the stems. Carry the floral look over to the tables for the centerpieces. Make your grand exit in a vintage car with your man. I couldn’t resist including this good looking man in today’s post; hey why not?!

Kiss Me, Kate

In the September issue of Vogue magazine you will find a gorgeous celebrity wedding. The wedding of Kate Moss has an album of over 40 images online and we can’t wait to see more images in print. The images shot by Mario Testino capture the most amazing setting. The delicate touches like ruffles on dresses and icing detail on the cake are captured perfectly. Through the images you can feel the love and joy of the day. Yes, I know we are wedding planners; girls who love everything about a wedding from the dress to the venue and place settings, but this wedding is stunning. Click HERE for more images and an article from Vogue, and HERE for more on Mario Testino. Thank you Kate for allowing your wedding to go to print, it’s not often a celebrity wedding lands us with images like these, and thank you Mario for these images that are perfection.

Real Wedding: Sarahbeth & Taylor

Yesterday we posted THIS fun rehearsal dinner, and today is the long awaited wedding! You may remember THIS inspiration board for Sarahbeth and Taylor’s special day and today we get to show you to final product. If you have been following the blog you know that Sarahbeth is the perfect southern bride with soft, vintage taste. My first design meeting with her was quite funny now that I think about it; she was loving bright coral, lime green and purple. Needless to say we softened the colors and she loved it! Anne Marie Foy of THE FRENCH BOUQUET TULSA was great to work with for all of the florals. Sarahbeth’s bridal bouquet brought happy tears to eyes, and the bridesmaids bouquets were smaller versions of Sarahbeth’s. With soft grey and champagne colored bridal party dresses, and black tuxes for the gentlemen the wedding party was stunning. NIKKI OVERLAND with MAKEUP BY NICOLE did the girls makeup and they all looked gorgeous! OLD URBAN TROLLEY was the perfect form of transportation to get this large bridal party to the church on time, and we can’t forget WALT BEAZLEY of JAMES WALTON PHOTOGRAPHY. Thank you Walt for these incredible images. Also, we would like to thank the generous staff and officiant at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, DOWNTOWN TULSA. With so many great photos this is only part 1 of this gorgeous wedding. We’ll be back this afternoon with part 2: the reception at THE MAYO HOTEL!

Icing on Top

Once again, I am addicted to PINTEREST. I love finding gorgeous images and piecing them together in a never ending puzzle. Today it’s gloomy in Tulsa so I began with this fun image by the ocean. The wind blowing this pretty peach dress, perfect ocean blue-ish color and overcast sky set the color palate for today. I loved themed weddings, and how perfect is this carnival picture. Pale pink and teal shades are perfect for gorgeous florals and how amazing is this cake; it’s just the icing on top of this inspiration board.

Plum Perfect

This morning I was on PINTEREST looking for my daily inspiration when I came across this awesome picture. The shades of mustard, plum and chocolate were the perfect color combination for today. If I were to do an event with this combination I would begin with these adorable invitations and choose bridesmaid dresses in mustard yellow. If you would like to use these colors for a spring wedding add in white to soften the colors. For the reception it’s all abut making a statement; keep the decor to a minimum and add pops of color in the food. In addition to your cake don’t forget these adorable macaroons! This inspiration board is plum perfect to me, what do you think?
