Swing Batter Batter

With the world series game 1 tonight I thought why not have some fun, and how fun would a baseball themed wedding be! The Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals have the color red in common so I began there with red bridesmaid dresses. For Texas accent with blue flowers and for St. Louis accent with yellow flowers. If your favorite team doesn’t have red, blue or yellow opt for a vintage feel with shades of brown and accents of leather. If you’re a Rangers fan have your bridesmaids bring their cowboy boots, and if you’re a Cardinals fan top your cake with little birds. For either team it’s easy to take your guests out to the ball park. Serve coke in old fashion bottles, grilled chicken sandwiches, hamburgers and ice cream cones with the cake. Have your guests see you off with sparklers and even add some fireworks in there for a real night at the ballpark feel.  What would you add to this baseball themed wedding?

Rusty Wood

At times I wish I could carry gorgeous ginger locks like these, so that is exactly where today’s inspiration came from. Something about this pretty picture of the perfect red locks and tan bow takes me to a place of rusty wood. I love this turquoise car with rust spots and this vintage restaurant sign. The wood pile with light blue flats, arm of a worn chair and wooden frame pull this board together. For a vintage touch this heart lock and key finish today’s inspiration.

Beach Blues

Summer is here, and I am in love with the beach right now. How perfect would a beach wedding, in shades of blue, be? These precious invitations with seersucker blue, placed in a natural envelope, set the tone for the wedding. I love the trend of all white, and how adorable are these bridesmaids with their parasols. Fresh, summer food is also a big hit and easy to do with a small guest list. From healthy, hearty summer salads to spinach and ricotta ravioli, what guest wouldn’t love eating these goodies at a wedding. Smaller guest lists are ideal for fun seating; I adore this low table with pillows as chairs. Don’t forget the cake. With an intimate setting, and laid back but formal feel try something different like this blue bridal cake. Who wants to get married on the beach; I’m ready to plan this fabulous event!

Retro Red, White & Blue

We’re starting this holiday weekend a day early on our blog, and hope you don’t mind. This 4th of July Christina is headed to the beach, and Arin to the lake so we took inspiration from there. How cute is this blue polka dot swim suit? I’m pretty sure if I could find one I would attempt to pull it off, but I think will stick with my aviators. Whether you are cooking out at home, waving your flag at the beach or lighting sparklers with friends and family we hope you have a wonderful weekend! Happy July 4th weekend (a day early)!

Bohemian Blue

Today I am in Bohemian blue mood and I would love to throw a party this weekend just like this. I would start with this gorgeous color combination, and add tiny details. The blue, sheer drapes are perfect against red couches. Add fuchsia pillows and delicate peonies for centerpieces. Line the walkway with mason jars filled with tiny colored lights and incorporate a fun pattern into printed invitations and menu cards. Of course you will have to add a statement piece of jewelry for you, the host, right? Happy weekend!

Perfect Pastel

Let’s face it, if you didn’t watch the Oscar’s for the red carpet looks last night you have seen them on every blog this morning. With pastel purples from Mila Kunis and Marisa Tomei, pastel pink from Hailee Steinfeld and light neutrals from Halle Berry, Michelle Williams and many more it has us thinking soft colors. Today’s inspiration is all girl and was inspired by Hailee Steinfeld’s girlie look. We loved her tulle, tea length dress, pulled back hair with head band and neutral colored pumps. We paired her perfect, pastel pink with robin’s egg blue and today’s board is complete. If you made an inspiration board from an Oscar look who would you pick as your inspiration?

Sunshine + Midnight

I love when I stumble across a new blog and find new inspiration. This yellow and purple inspiration from CREATURE COMFORTS is stunning. The shades of sunshine yellow and midnight blue work perfectly together and the images couldn’t be a better fit. So if you’re looking for a new daily read I suggest this little beauty.
